[edit] Synopsis

Han Ji-Eun lives in a house called Full House, built by her father. She is an aspiring script writer at the beginning but later she becomes one. One day, her two best friends, for money reasons, trick her into believing she has won a free vacation, and while she is gone, they sell her house. On the plane, she meets Lee Young-Jae, a famous actor. Through comedic events they get acquainted during her vacation, and when she returns, she discovers her house has been sold to him.
Though they don't get along with each other, as she is messy and he has a bad temper and likes cleanliness, they agree to live with each other. At first, Ji-Eun works as his maid in order to buy her house back, but later, because of Young-Jae's wish to make the love of his life, Kang Hye-Won (Han Eun Jung) jealous, they get married. They set up a contract for the marriage to last six months. During that time, complications arise and Ji-Eun and Young-Jae become attracted to each other. Also, Ji-Eun starts to feel a strong bond with Young-Jae's family. However, Young-Jae's bad temper, along with the romantic attentions of Yoo Min-Hyuk (Kim Sung Soo), Ji-Eun's handsome and friendly publisher, starts to create a rift between the couple. So does Hye-Won, who starts to feel jealous when she sees Young-Jae and Ji-Eun getting close. Eventually, Young-Jae and Ji-Eun get a divorce and he moves away.
When he returns, he realizes that Ji-Eun hasn't married yet and knows that he has fallen in love with her - and she with him. He proposes to her, this time for the right reasons, and finally, they get married for a second time.

[edit] Cast

Han Ji-Eun Song Hye Kyo
Ji-Eun is the main female character of the drama. She is shown as an optimistic and cheerful girl, loyal to her friends. Though naive and not very smart, she is shown as a character with spunk and a good heart as displayed in her efforts to be a writer. Through the course of the drama, she slowly begins to fall in love with Young-Jae. She lives in a beautiful home named Full House (thus the inspiration for the title of the drama), which she inherited from her late parents. Her troubles starts when her closest friends trick her by sending her on a trip to Shanghai so they could sell her house behind her back and take the money. After Ji-Eun returns, she finds she has nowhere to go. The owner of the house is now movie star Lee Young Jae, whom she encountered earlier in Shanghai, and she agrees to become his wife and personal maid to work back ownership of her house.
Lee Young-Jae Rain
Young-Jae is the leading male character and a popular Korean actor, especially around girls. Though appearing to be egotistical and stubborn, mostly to maintain his pride, he has secret unrequited feelings for his childhood friend, Hye-Won. However, this starts to change as he meets Ji-Eun and slowly falls in love with her. He also has a fragile relationship with his father, who is a doctor. Young-Jae also had a sister who died as a child. Throughout the story, he is labeled by Han Ji-Eun as the king of jerks and accused him having Prince Complex (including Yoo Min-Hyuk). Young-Jae gets easily jealous when Ji-Eun is out somewhere with Min-Hyuk using excuses to separate the two from meeting each other despite seeing Hye-Won himself. Though he can be selfish, he cares deeply for his friends espically Ji-Eun and Hye-Won.
Kang Hye-Won Han Eun Jung
Hye-Won is a close family friend of Lee Young-Jae, knowing them since childhood. Working as a fashion designer, she also designs most of Young-jae’s clothes. With her rich family and attractive appearance, she is accustomed to attention from men, but has ever only loved Yoo Min-Hyuk, though she later falls for Young-Jae.
Yoo Min-Hyuk Kim Sung Soo
Min-Hyuk is a ladies' man. He is smart, skillful and respected, but remains detached from most people because of his busy lifestyle. He is also close friends with Young-Jae, who confides in him his feelings for Hye-Won. Later he also starts developing feelings for Ji-Eun. Min-Hyuk is a director of a large media company. Like Hye-Won, he is attractive and used to attention from women.

[edit] Filming location

Full House was filmed in the Gwangyeok-si area of Incheon. Located near Incheon International Airport, the place may be reached in a ten-minute boat ride from Sammok Harbor to this quiet, seashore getaway. Unlike other filming locations in Korea, this is an actual house. Made mostly of wood, this house, which is a private-owned vacation house, cost approximately the equivalent of one million USD to be built. The beach front property looks out onto open waters, with elegant views that could be used on any postcard. Many fans of the miniseries make a pilgrimage to this now famous home. Nearby sightseeing locations include Jogak (sculpture) Park on Modo Island; a bridge connects these two islands.
The first episode was shot in Shanghai near The Bund. In later episodes some parts were filmed in Thailand.

    [edit] Plot summary

Jade is a webcam girl, who broadcasts herself nightly on the internet to anonymous users. She seeks a tattoo, which leads her to the studio of tattoo artist Takeko, who also happens to be Jade's childhood crush. Jade becomes entranced by a large tattoo of golden flowers—spider lilies—on Takeko's arm. She wants the same design, but Takeko refuses, telling her that the flowers are cursed.
Takeko's father, who was killed in an earthquake, had the same tattoo on his arm. Her younger brother witnessed the incident and was traumatised by it, left with no memory except for the image of the flowers. Takeko decided to get the same tattoo, in the hope that it would help her brother's recovery.
Nevertheless, Takeko finds herself drawn to Jade, and begins designing a new tattoo for her.
Meanwhile, a young police officer trying to ambush Jade and the rest of the girls working in the same website, but takes to speaking to her, listening to her childhood stories and connecting with her, therefore slowing down the investigation he is supposed to be working on. Eventually he falls in love with her, trying to tell her to get out before it's too late and before she's caught. He blurts out that he loves her, and Jade, mistaking him for Takeko, goes to her.
They make love and this causes Takeko to become distracted from her brother. Desperate and frightened, he goes out to a road looking for her, but instead he gets in a car accident. Just before his accident, he recovers his memory.
The policeman finally tells Jade who he is and that she must get offline immediately. She cries and realizes it was not Takeko who had told her she loved her. Takeko finds her brother in the hospital, where he has slipped into a severe coma. Devastated and guilt-stricken, she sends a farewell message to Jade saying that she will not be able to finish Jade's tattoo.
Jade receives Takeko's message and falls into a fit of weeping, utterly heartbroken. Meanwhile, Takeko's brother awakes from his coma with his memory intact. A joyful Takeko sends Jade another message apologizing, and saying that she will wait for her in the tattoo shop. The last image of the film is some earlier footage of Jade, coming to meet Takeko.

Rainie Yang & Wu Zun to collaborate in new idol drama; ‘Princess of Cute’ exclaims that he’s prettier than her!

    Translation: Sarah @ http://asianfanatics.net

‘Princess of Cute’ Rainie Yang is scared of Wu Zun’s good lucks! The two will collaborate in new idol drama ‘陽光小妹’ (lit trans: Sunshine Girl’) in May. Upon knowing that her new co-star would be Wu Zun, Rainie admitted that she had been looking forward to working with him for a long time, but her first reaction was: “I’m dead! He’s even prettier than me! Will other people think he’s the female lead?” The 2 have not formally met yet, and already Rainie is worried that her own beauty is not up to par with his.

Amazed by Wu Zun’s good looks

Last year, Rainie missed the chance to collaborate with Wu Zun in ‘ToGetHer’ But this year, the chance has come again! The 2 are not very familiar with each other as this will be their first collaboration together. However, back when Wu Zun filmed ‘Tokyo Juliet’ with Ariel Lin, Rainie once went to visit her good friend, so she also got to meet Wu Zun, who wasn’t as popular back then. Her first impression of Wu Zun was: “This person is too pretty ah!” Even till now, Wu Zun’s good looks have left a deep impression on her. Rainie revealed that the person she would most like to collaborate with is film king Tony Leung, however she feels that this seems impossible.

    Very full work schedule

Besides dramas, Rainie has also accepted 6 endorsements in only 4 months, and within the year, she also has to film advertisements that she had accepted last year. Her work schedule is very full. Yesterday, Rainie attended a promotion event for her new beauty beverage endorsement, and revealed that she once had severe constipation problems, and couldn’t go toilet for 10 days. She expressed that it’s very embarrassing to tell this story but after she drank the beauty beverage, the constipation problem immediately disappeared and even her skin became more smooth.

It stars the music group "F4" (Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu).They happened in different times, before, during or after Meteor Garden's first season. Meteor Rain is a supplementary mini-series for the Meteor Garden series. Each of the three individual Meteor Rain episodes are referred to as a chapter, each focusing on one of the F4 members.

    [edit] Storyline

Mei Zuo's Chapter: Mei Zuo (known as Akira in the Japanese version) got his pocket picked by a Japanese girl, Ai Sha, struggling to survive in Taiwan. Ai Sha fools Mei Zuo several times before she finally reveals the truth. Ai Sha, recently left Japan to find her grandmother. Mei Zuo agrees to help her out and after several events take place, Ai Sha and Mei Zuo start to practice dancing together. The explanation for this is that Ai Sha believes the best way to find her grandmother is to enter/win a televised dance contest. At the end of this Meteor Rain Chapter, a romance is strongly hinted.
Xi Men's Chapter: Xiao You (known as Yuki in the Japanese version) comes back from Canada by herself on a quest for her love. She attempts to rekindle her relationship with Xi Men (known as Soujiroh in the Japanese version) and at first seems to be unsuccessful. After an occurrence at the bar, Xi Men and Xiao You confront each other about their behaviors. Later Xi Men reveals to Xiao You a bit of his past and tells her about this girl, Xiao Gen, he once loved. Xiao Gen had discovered something very special, but he had been somewhat afraid of his feelings and had greatly disappointed her by not showing up. Inspired by the story, Xiao You goes on a time-consuming search for the "special thing" that Xiao Gen had wanted to show Xi Men.
Dao Ming Si's Chapter: There are two parts to this chapter. This chapter is arguably more relevant to the Meteor Garden series because it explains several scenes that took place in the first season of Meteor Garden. Dao Ming Si (known as Tsukasa in the Japanese version) is charged with a crime and flees from police. He narrowly escapes the police, jumps off a train and lies unconscious on a beach. A young girl by the name of Xin Xin finds him and Dao Ming Si is temporarily taken in by Ah Yuan, who appears to be Xin Xin's father. Ah Yuan and Xin Xin live in a simple shack by the beach and are not wealthy. There are several twists to this plot, the main one being that Xin Xin does not talk. Apparently, Xin Xin is not mute; she was simply traumatized by something that happened to her in the past. Thanks to Xin Xin's advances, Dao Ming Si and Xin Xin quickly bond. However problems arise in the second part of this chapter, when Ah Yuan learns that Dao Ming Si is wanted by the police and Dao Ming Si learns the truth about Ah Yuan & Xin Xin's past.

    [edit] Trivia

    • Hua Ze Lei does not have his own chapter because he was too busy filming another series at the time.
    • Several of the filming locations in this mini series are identical to the ones in the Taiwanese drama Mars. The beach where Dao Ming Si stays at and the cafe/coffeeshop where Mei Zhuo & Ai Sha meet at are just some of the locations.
    • In Dao Ming Si's chapter, there were several visible contradictions in the story. Many fans will quickly notice that Dao Ming Si has the same hairstyle as he did at the end of the Meteor Garden 1 series. Also Dao Ming Si develops a mild atittude during his respective time with Xin Xin; at the beginning Meteor Garden 1 Dao Ming Si's attitude is much worse. These details strongly contradict the fact that Dao Ming Si's chapter takes place before the first season of Meteor Garden. But several sources do state that the respective chapter takes place before the original series.
    • The TV series was originally aired on ABS-CBN in May 2003, and it was re-aired again on GMA Network in October 2007 for their very own re-dub version.
